Apply for a Private Student Loan

It’s easy to apply for a private student loan using College Loan Corporation’s secure online process. If you are ready to apply, make sure you have the following information handy:

  • Social Security Number
  • Driver’s License
  • Income Information
  • Requested Loan Amount

It may also be helpful if your co-signer is present, so that you can fill out the application together. If your co-signer is not present, you can email him/her the application during the process.

How to Apply

The CLC® Premier Loan™ application is designed to allow you and your co-signer to apply for a private student loan quickly and securely. Here’s what to expect during the private student loan application process:

Step 1: Complete the Online Application (borrower and co-signer)
  • You will enter your personal information and credit check authorization, and then we’ll run your credit.
  • You will receive notification of the loan decision; if pre-approved, loan terms will be disclosed to you.
  • Once you review your loan terms, you’ll need to sign a promissory note to complete the loan application process.
  • Remember, as part of the application process, you may need to provide us with income or identity documentation.
Step 2: School Certification
  • We’ll communicate with your school, and they will need to verify your enrollment and your requested loan amount. Don’t worry, we take care of this step for you!
Step 3: Disbursement of Funds
  • Once Steps 1 and 2 are complete, we’ll send your funds to the school!
