Overview

As a key member of the marketing team, the Content Marketing Manager will help grow our brand’s organic presence on all search engines. This position will have a unique opportunity to combine creative and content strategy with a data driven approach. You will be responsible for content writing and publishing, keeping a pulse on ongoing search algorithms, execute on SEO strategy and target new channel opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a strong editorial background, an analytical mind, and a proven track record in leveraging content to drive organic growth along with experience in managing a team. You will collaborate with the content and social media team as we continue to grow our product lines.

Essential Functions

  • Help drive our SEO strategy, with a focus on writing and producing transactional keyword-optimized content and grow organic conversions
  • Support content development workflows including the audit of images, graphics, video, and copy to maintain quality
  • Collaborate with content team to create and edit content for all sites
  • Monitor organic traffic and organic conversions across sites
  • Identify revenue generating opportunities and adjust content/ads accordingly
  • Work upstream with Product Managers to identify content needs and performance metrics to deliver data driven output to help increase engagement on media marketing channels
  • Serve as SME for CMS and provide key recommendations for enhancements to the business
  • Collaborate with our social teams as we build our YouTube and TikTok presence, ensuring our content is optimized and ideally leading the charge on VSEO strategy
  • Monitor and report on content performance and share key insights with the broader teams
  • Stay informed of industry standards, trends, and changes
  • Support ad-hoc marketing needs

Knowledge/Skills/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience in Marketing, Business, English, Journalism, Communications, or related field
  • Strong writing skills with 4+ years of experience in content writing and publishing
  • 3+ years of experience in management role
  • Expertise in SEO strategy, and a proven track record in driving organic conversions through content
  • Highly detail-oriented
  • Have an ability to balance content writing with a data-driven approach, gathering and acting on key performance insights
  • Experience working in a collaborative, cross-functional capacity, as this role will touch brand marketing, acquisition, and more
  • Project and calendar management skills are a must
  • Experience working with and managing the content process across multiple teams and individuals
  • In depth experience with CMS such as Sitecore or similar
  • Knowledge of basic HTML and CSS, plus an understanding of technical SEO such as schema markup
  • Knowledge of current design trends and best practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Adept at reviewing and synthesizing data from Google Search Console and Google Analytics
  • Strong writing and editorial skills with thorough knowledge of English grammar
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud programs (Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver) a plus
