Quality Assurance Intern

JOB SUMMARY: 

This position will assist the Data Science Team on various IT related tasks as assigned by management. This role will allow the employee to develop basic Data Science related skills and gain familiarity with working in an IT and business environment. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Assist with functional testing of Data Science code written in SQL, C#, R, Python, SSIS, SSRS, PowerBI
• Assist development of code written in SQL, C#, R, Python, SSIS, SSRS, PowerBI
• Assist in Database Administration including, backups, maintenance plans, Indexes, restores, and installation
• Writing database queries to retrieve specified data sets requested by the business
• Assist in Data Sales operations
• Trend analysis of Edvisors data, both existing reports and crafting new ones
• Gain familiarity with Agile Methodology and Pair Programming development techniques
• Additional tasks as assigned by management

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Familiarity with computer systems and basic IT principles
• Communication and writing skills in order to execute and document various tasks

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:

• Progressing towards a college degree in Computer Science or a technology field of study; certificate program or related discipline; or equivalent years of IT experience

COMPUTER SKILLS:

• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux operating systems
• Familiarity with MS SQL
• Familiarity with MS Office Suite
