This position is responsible for the overall management of the marketing department. They are responsible for providing supervision for all marketing programs, including affiliate marketing, SEM, and social media.


  • Provide leadership, direction and management of the marketing strategy and execution (developed in conjunction with SVP)
  • Develop comprehensive, strategic marketing plan to include competitive analysis and relevant pricing strategy, where appropriate
  • Responsible for driving results through various digital marketing strategies including SEO, SEM, email and social media
  • Implement highly creative campaigns to raise brand awareness and drive engagement; perform audit on existing promotions and lead team to drive unique, cutting-edge approaches for greater results
  • Drive qualified, online traffic to the company’s website(s)
  • Develop appropriate forecasting for lead generation to fulfill client budgets and company goals
  • Oversee the development and implementation of effective strategies to maximize keyword optimization, search engine marketing, website visits, and social media interaction
  • Create a strong social media strategy for the company by building and managing presence on sites such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Google+ and blogs
  • Develop strong pipeline of affiliates for each business channel
  • Drive CRO (conversion rate optimization), including driving ongoing A/B testing via Google Optimize
  • Plan for appropriate trade shows by coordinating logistics with internal stakeholders; develop displays, facilitate pre and post-conference mailings, create on-site promotions strategy
  • Track conversion rates and make improvements to the website(s), in collaboration with Product team
  • Collaborate with Product, Content and Business Development teams to achieve overall company goals
  • Responsible for planning and budgeting all marketing initiatives, including any initiatives with 3rd parties, as well as implementation of appropriate cost controls
  • Review new technologies and keep the company at the forefront of developments in digital marketing
  • Create and maintain the promotional materials inventory and develop company-wide brand standards
  • Stay abreast of higher education related trends concerning college planning and financing


  • Minimum 5 years of digital marketing experience
  • Strong understanding of current online marketing concepts, strategies and best practices
  • Extreme creativity with proven track record and results in social media space
  • Experience managing ecommerce, SEO, contextual, CPA, PPC, affiliate programs and email marketing
  • Understanding of relevant laws pertaining to online marketing and privacy, including CAN-SPAM
  • Skilled at developing, coaching and managing direct reports to ensure the department delivers on goals
  • Expertise across web, mobile and tablet


  • 4 year degree in Marketing or comparable program


  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Adept in Google Analytics, Has Offers or similar software
