1999 - CLC founded in San Diego
2002 - $1 billion in student loans funded
2005 - 7th largest student loan lender
2007 - $14 billion in student loan asset-backed securities issued
2008 - $19 billion in student loans made
2010 - Became 100% employee owned company
2012 - Acquired Edvisors, Inc.
2016 - 5 million families directly assisted with college loans
2019 - Awarded $1 million in scholarships

Executive Team

John Falb

President & Chief Executive Officer

John has been involved in CLC’s leadership since 2002. He is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company and is hands-on in all matters related to investment and finance strategy. John gives back to the community serving as treasurer and board member of Stop Child Predators and The Meadows School. He holds a B.S. in Accounting from San Diego State University, and an MBA in Finance from the University of San Diego.
