Cybersecurity Intern

JOB SUMMARY: 

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Intern to join our Network Engineering team. This internship offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience working in a technology-diverse environment while contributing to real security operations. 

RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Research and analyze SIEM events, alerts, and logs.
  • Assist in tuning detection rules and correction policies to improve efficiency.
  • Document findings and recommend improvements to monitoring use cases.
  • Support creation and maintenance of cybersecurity policy and procedures aligned with NIST CSF.
  • Investigate authentication, access, and audit related issues in an Active Directory environment.
  • Assist with vulnerability management efforts.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Basic knowledge of SIEM platforms and log analysis.
  • Understanding of Active Directory, Windows server and authentication mechanisms.
  • Understanding of common attack techniques.
  • Familiarity with NIST CSF and security best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Actively pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
